Singapore Toy Games & Comic Convention 2009

Although this post is not of any form of bakes but it is a great TREAT for us =)


Being kidults we couldn't give the Singapore Toy Games & Comic Convention 2009 (STGCC 2009) a miss! We went for 2 days... So here we go...


We went on the 1st day that the event was open to public which was on 14 August 2009(Fri). Our main target was the Tokidoki booth, hoping to get some items and of course to get the signature of Tokidoki artist: Simone Legno!


Although it was a bit disappointing on the variety of items they have on sale, we were surprise to catch a glimpse of Simone Legno signing items for fans (it was not stated in the schedule in the event guide). Blur as we were, we found out the "terms and conditions" for getting the signature and came back another day...


Next we went to the Dooodolls booth behind and I couldn't resist getting myself their plushes. I bought the baby Pinkie Pirate (although it is not my star sign)...





and Cupido!



And of course not forgetting to get Dooodolls Dollmaster: Darren Chen signature!

We went back on the last day 16 August 2009 (Sunday) to get our signature. Phew! We manage to get the last 2 wristband to obtain the signature. Heres the artist in action!

As 1 wristband only allow 1 person to sign 2 items, we brought along 2 toys and 2 event guides to obtain our signature. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we got our 2 toys, 1 event guide and 1 apron (?!!) autographed!

We sure had a great and tiring time and looking forward to next year STGCC! Hope there will be more exclusive toys like during the first toy convention... And hope that I can become a more creative and artistic person Haha =p

Soccer Cake

The month of June and half of July had gone past without update (*guilty*) as some events happened and we were busy with some projects. During the month of June we did a soccer themed cake. As forgetful as we were, we did not take a photo for remembrance so heres a sketch of how our soccer cake looks like (hehe... I know a photo will look much better =p)

Pirates Attack!

One of us was oversea for sometime hence the late update. Heres something we did for our little terror's classmate. It consists of a whole cake and cupcakes all with a pirate theme. Pirates, enjoy!!!

Mini 4-in-One

Recently we helped an old schoolmate baked 4 cakes for her 4 family members. To allow all 4 to have a taste of each flavour we divided each cake into 4 and hence this mini 4-in-one cake. Along with the cake we also did 2 cupcakes of Barney and Bob the builder design.Enjoy!
